Dr N. Salgunan is presently senior consultant, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Apollo Hospital Chennai. Salgunan completed his MBBS from JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research) Pondicherry in 1985. He completed M.S in Gen Surgery from Madras Medical College with distinction in 1990. He then went on to complete the M.Ch super specialization course in Cardio Vascular and thoracic Surgery from JIPMER in 1995.

Salgunan to a 2 year fellowship programme at the famous University of Sydney`s, Royal Prince Alfred hospital in AUSTRALIA.
